Scobee Earns WCHA Weekly Award

Sydney Scobee made 48 saves on 50 shots faced against Boston College and Harvard at the Country Classic.
MINNEAPOLIS -- Senior Sydney Scobee has been named this week's WCHA Goaltender of the Week for her play against Boston College and Harvard at the Country Classic in Nashville, Tenn., last weekend. The award marks Scobee's third WCHA weekly award of the season and the fourth WCHA weekly honor of her career.
Scobee combined for 48 saves on 50 shots faced as Minnesota tied Boston College 2-2 in overtime and defeated Harvard 4-0 at the Country Classic. The Minnetrista, Minn., native made 27 saves on 29 shots faced in 65 minutes against the No. 8 Eagles before following up with a 21-save shutout against the Crimson.
Her 48 saves and 50 shots faced both were tops among WCHA goaltenders over the weekend. Scobee's 0.96 goals against average and .960 save percentage led the way among WCHA goaltenders who played more than one game; among all WCHA goaltenders, her .960 save percentage was fifth and her 0.96 goals against average was fourth. Scobee was one of four league netminders to earn a shutout over the weekend, and she is now tied for the NCAA lead with four shutouts on the season.
