Gophers Play Florida at 5:30 p.m. Friday

The NCAA and ESPN has announced times for the NCAA Volleyball Regionals next weekend. The University of Minnesota will play Florida at 5:30 p.m. CST/6:30 p.m. EST, Friday in Austin, Texas. The match can be streamed on ESPN3. Louisville and Texas fill out the rest of the Austin Region and play at 3 p.m. CST/4 p.m. EST and televised on ESPNU. Winners of each match advance to the Regional Final, Saturday, at 7 p.m., CST/8 p.m. EST, also in Austin and televised on ESPNU.
Regional winners advance to the 2019 DI Women's Volleyball Championship, Dec. 19 and 21 in PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
The Gophers punched their ticket to the NCAA Regional Semifinal after a sweep over Fairfield and a 3-2 come-from-behind thriller over Creighton. Florida (27-4) swept Alabama State and UCF en route to the Sweet 16. Louisville (21-9) earned a 3-0 win over Samford in the First Round and defeated No. 15 seed Western Kentucky, 3-2. Texas (23-3), the No. 2 seed, beat Albany, 3-0, and UC-Santa Barbara, 3-2, to advance and host the regionals.
Minnesota is making its 10th Regional Semifinal appearance in 11 years. The Golden Gophers last went on the road for the Sweet 16 in 2017, and was in the Florida Region.
