MELBOURNE, Fla. - Senior Muyu Wu fired the low round of the day among all competitors Monday at the Moon Golf Invitational, using an opening-round 66 to help her finish among the top-five through 36 holes of play at Duran Golf Club.

Wu (66-73—139) is tied for fourth place at 5-under par, three strokes behind a pair of leaders. Her first-round score of 66 matches the school 18-hole record, held by Teresa Puga (2011 UCF Challenge) and Julie Gumlia (1977 Mankato Invitational).

Competing in the Gopher lineup as well was sophomore Grace Kellar (73-75—148) who is tied for 47th at 4-over-par. Two strokes back is classmate Kate Lillie (77-73—150), in a tie for 58th place. Another sophomore is close behind in Joanne Free (76-75—151), as she is tied for 64th. Freshman Karen Zhang (76-76—152) is tied for 68th at 8-over-par.
Gopher freshman Alayna Eldred is competing individually and ended the day in 86th place, improving her second round score by nine strokes (85-76—161).

As a team, the Gophers are 11th (291-296—587) at 11-over-par. Host Louisville and UCF are tied for the team lead at 7-under par, while the Cardinals' Lauren Hartlage is tied with Oklahoma's Libby Winans for the individual lead at 8-under-par.
