Paige Williams has been named the Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week for the second consecutive week, the conference announced Tuesday. This is the second time this season and the second time in her career that Williams has received this honor.

The Wylie, Texas native won the floor exercise title after the judges awarded her a 9.975 for her performance at Friday's quad meet against Georgia, Arkansas, and Michigan State. As the anchor of the final rotation, Williams' score boosted the Gophers into second place over Arkansas at the last possible moment, giving Minnesota a team score of 197.025 to the Razorbacks' score of 197.000.

Williams' 9.975 on floor became a new career high for the junior. Additionally, her score tied the school record for the event, marking Williams down in the Minnesota history books. She joins fellow Gophers gymnasts Lindsay Mable (6 times), MaryAnne Kelley and Carolyn Yernberg in sharing the top score.

At the beginning of week 10, Williams is ranked No. 17 in the NCAA on floor exercise with her RQS score of 9.915. She boasts an average score of 9.875 and is a crucial contributor to the Gophers having attained the rank of No. 19 in the country as a team on floor.

Williams and the No. 9 Golden Gophers are headed to Columbia, Mo to take on Missouri, Michigan and Centenary in a quad meet on Friday, Mar. 15 and competition begins at 7:00 p.m. CT.
