Gophers Logan Richter is a freshman defensive lineman from Perham, Minn.
Minnesota welcomed a school record 14 newcomers in January and they are participating in spring practice. We will introduce some of them to you over the next several weeks. Today, we meet Logan Richter.

HOMETOWN: Perham, Minn.
NUMBER: 96
POSITION: Defensive Line
HEIGHT: 6-4
WEIGHT: 320
OVERVIEW: Consensus three-star recruit • No. 2 ranked recruit in Minnesota by ESPN.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Perham High School in Perham, Minn. • wore no. 64 for the Yellowjackets • played offensive and defensive line for Perham and led team to a 7-3 record and a trip to the playoffs • recorded 63 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and forced four fumbles in two seasons on the defensive line • collected First-Team All-Midwest honors • coached by Kyle Knutson.
PERSONAL: Son of Tammy and Rich Richter • has one brother (Levi) and three sisters (Leah, Lexi, Lacy).
