Two Gophers in Top-10 Through Two Rounds at Meadow Club

FAIRFAX, Calif. - Two Minnesota women's golfers are among the top-10 as the Juli Inkster Invitational at Meadow Club concluded 36 holes on Monday afternoon.
Senior Muyu Wu (71-71—142) fired a pair of 1-under par rounds to finish the day in fifth place at 2-under par. Two shots back is sophomore Kate Lillie, who opened the day at 3-under par through 18 holes before ending among a tie for 10th (69-75—144) at even par.
Sophomores Joanne Free (72-77—149) and Grace Kellar (73-78—151) are tied for 27th and 41st respectively, carding 36 hole totals of 5- and 9-over par.
Sophomore Jessica Lee, competing individually, is tied for 51st at 9-over par (77-76—153) while freshmen Karen Zhang (78-78—156) and Alayna Eldred (74-87—161) are tied for 61st and sitting in 68th, respectively, the latter competing individually.
Rutgers' Harriet Allsebrook leads the field at 7-under par (67-70—137) while Sacramento State (288-287—575) holds the team lead at one-under. The Gophers (285-301—586) are in seventh place after two rounds.
The tournament concludes Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. PT.
