Weather Shifts Penn State Series to the Weekend

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Cold weather and snow in the forecast Friday has shifted the Gopher Baseball team's three-game Big Ten Conference series against Penn State to the weekend.
Game one will now be Saturday afternoon's game which remains a 1 p.m. EDT start time. Games two and three will be a doubleheader on Sunday maintaining the original 12 p.m EDT start time. Max Meyer will still get the ball for the Gophers in game one on Saturday, while Patrick Fredrickson and Joshua Culliver take the mound on getaway day.
Minnesota (5-13) owns a 12-game winning streak against Penn State (13-3) entering the weekend. Last year's series between the Gophers and Nittany Lions was also interrupted by weather, with the two teams forced to play at Purdue's Alexander Field in West Lafayette, Indiana.
