Big Ten Releases Big Ten Championships Brackets

The Big Ten released full brackets for all ten weight classes prior to the Big Ten Wrestling Championships beginning tomorrow morning.
Heavyweight Gable Steveson, the top seed in the class, will take on Christian Colucci to begin his tournament after Steveson had a dominant 17-2 tech. fall in their match-up in early January.
Three-seed Sean Russell will face Wisconsin's Ethan Rotondo after they pair failed to face off during the two team's dual earlier this season.
Redshirt senior Tommy Thorn, the four-seed at 149-pounds, will take on Jaden Enriquez in the first round of his final Big Ten Championships.
There will be plenty of rematches for the Gophers in the first round. At 133-pounds Ethan Lizak, the six-seed, will take on Jens Lantz of Wisconsin after defeating Lantz earlier this season. After winning by narrow 3-2 decision in January, 165-pound Carson Brolsma will attempt to defeat Joey Gunther once again in the first round.
Minnesota native Mitch McKee will have a rematch Saturday monring after a decision victory in the Gophers' Big Ten finale over Kyle Luigs. Steve Bleise will also have a rematch when he takes on Indiana's Jake Danishek to start off his Saturday. Another Minnesota-Indiana rematch will feature Devin Skatzka facing Jake Covaciu after an 8-3 victory over Covaciu to finish out the Big Ten season.
At 184-pounds Brandon Krone will try to avenge an earlier 9-2 loss to Cash Wilcke when the two face of in the first round on Saturday.
In a new match-up, 197-pound Dylan Anderson will face Andre Lee of Illinois for the first time this year.
