For the second time this season, Natalie DenHartog has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

The Hopkins, Minn. native finally got to make her Jane Sage Cowles Stadium debut after seven weeks on the road with the Gophers and did not disappoint. She came up with big swings all weekend in the cleanup spot and led the team with seven RBIs. She helped break a tie in game two of the weekend with a timely hit two-RBI single. She broke open game three with a three-run home run in the sixth inning. She hit .600 with a 1.000 slugging percentage on the weekend.

DenHartog's smash to center gave her 11 home runs on the season which is still leading the Big Ten. She also has a team leading 39 RBIs and a .813 slugging percentage.

The Gophers are off to a 6-0 start in the Big Ten and are No. 8 in the NCAA softball RPI which is a new program record high.
