CHASKA, Minn. – On the fourth playoff hole, rising Minnesota junior Grace Kellar sank her par putt on the fourth green to win the Minnesota Golf Association's Women's Amateur Match Play Championship Wednesday at Dahlgreen Golf Club.
Kellar trailed her opponent, Jasi Acharya, by two holes at the turn, but took the first three holes to go 1-up after 12. Acharya took the lead by one after the 14th, but Kellar's par on the 16th hole left the match all square, and it extended to 22 holes before the Edina native secured the victory.
In the first flight finals, fellow Gopher junior Christine Portillo also claimed victory, defeating Morgan Hetleved, 3 & 1.
