Gophers to Visit Minnesota State Fair

MINNEAPOLIS -- Gopher Athletics will once again visit the Minnesota State Fair this year. Fans can catch their favorite Golden Gopher coaches and student-athletes at the University of Minnesota building, located at the corner of Dan Patch Avenue and Underwood Street. This year's schedule includes three days of live Q&As with individual teams.
Trophies from the 2018-19 season will be on display the University of Minnesota building throughout the State Fair, including Paul Bunyan's Axe, and Gopher fan merchandise and tickets are available for purchase in the building.
Interactive exhibits include a wingspan chart and a giant ruler for fans to see how they measure up next to Gopher student-athletes. Plenty of photo opportunities with trophies and a six-foot-tall Minnesota state cutout will be available as well.
Gopher Athletics is also hosting daily photo contests on social media for fans visiting the Fair with prizes including autographed memorabilia, Gopher gear, a Lindsay Whalen Minnesota jersey plaque, and more. To participate in the photo contest, fans must:
1. Take a photo while visiting the Gophers area at the University of Minnesota building. The more creative, the better!
2. Post the photo on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #GreatGopherGetTogether.
Exclusive ticket deals for Gopher home games will be available at the State Fair in the University of Minnesota building as well. The Gopher Ticket Office at the Fair will be open each day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Fans can take advantage of ticket specials for upcoming Gopher events, including select football, men's basketball, men's hockey, and volleyball game tickets for as low as $10. Women's basketball, wrestling, and women's hockey ticket deals include four tickets for $10 for select games as well.
