Gophers Announce Fall Classic Series

MINNEAPOLIS - Throughout September and October, the Minnesota Baseball program will be hosting a Fall Classic Series at Siebert Field. The Series will contain a slate of various home exhibition games, with each contest being free to attend and open to the public.

Prior to the start of fall competition, Minnesota will hold its first practice of the season on Thursday, Sept. 12.

The Fall Classic will officially begin when the Gophers face-off against North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 1:00pm. Sept. 21 will also serve as the team's Scout Day, as well as the beginning of Parents Weekend.

The signature event will come in the form of the Pro Alumni Game, which will take place on Friday, Sept. 27. An opening ceremony will lead-off the Pro Alumni Game at 5:00pm, with first pitch scheduled for 6:00pm.

On Sunday, Oct. 6, the fall line-up will conclude when the Gophers take on South Dakota State (SDSU) at 1:00pm.
