Gopher Baseball Finalizes Schedule for Alumni Weekend

With a few minor adjustments, the schedule for Minnesota Baseball Alumni Weekend has been finalized. The event will take place from September 27-28.
Over the course of two days, former Gopher players are invited to join the team for a handful of events on campus surrounding the Pro Alumni Game on Friday, Sept. 27 at 6:00pm. The weekend's festivities will be open to all alumni of the baseball program, with the Pro Alumni Game being solely comprised of former Gophers who went on to become professional players in the sport. The Gopher Golf Event will even be open to all general supporters of the program.
"I am thrilled to be bringing back the Pro Alumni Game to Siebert Field," said Head Coach John Anderson. "We are always standing on the shoulders of others when it comes to our history and tradition and to welcome back those that have made Gopher Baseball what it is today is very important to me and to the fabric of the program. Alumni Weekend will be a special time for our alumni, student-athletes and fans to not only connect to the past but also look forward to the future as we celebrate our history with this wonderful event."
On Friday, Sept. 27, alumni are invited to participate in a tour of the newly constructed Athletes Village at 4:00pm. Gates will then open for the Pro Alumni Game at 4:30pm, with the opening ceremony to follow at 5:00pm.
Included in the opening ceremony will be the grand unveiling of a Dick Siebert statue at the field which shares the same namesake. Following the ceremony and introductions, the Pro Alumni Game's first pitch will occur at 6:00pm.
Following the Pro Alumni Game, Saturday will feature a Gopher Golf Event and an Alumni Social Hour. Below is the itinerary for every event taking place over the course of Alumni Weekend.
