Gophers Sign Hanford to 2020-21 Roster

The University of Minnesota women's tennis head coach Catrina Thompson has announced that Rachel Hanford (Mississauga, Ontario) will join the Gophers fall 2020.
Hanford attends St. Martin Catholic Secondary School and will graduate this spring. At 16, she was an Indoor Provincial singles finalist and doubles champion, a finalist at the Canadian Indoor Nationals and a member of the U16 Canadian Fed Cup team. This past year, Hanford was an Outdoor Provincial singles finalist and doubles champion, finished sixth at the Outdoor Canadian Nationals and was a G4 doubles champion.
"We are excited to welcome Rachel to our team," coach Thompson said. "Rachel has had some impressive tournament results and we believe she will be an asset to our program with her competitiveness and athleticism."
