PWHPA Finalizes Regional Rosters

Ten University of Minnesota alumnae are set to play for the PWHPA in the 2020-21 season.
MINNEAPOLIS --Â The Professional Women's Hockey Players Association (PWHPA) has finalized its regional rosters for the 2020-21 season, and 10 University of Minnesota alumnae are among the players set to participate in the upcoming season.
In total, 125 players have been divided among five regions in Toronto, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Calgary, and Montreal, and Golden Gophers alumnae are represented in three regions. Amanda Kessel and Gigi Marvin are in the New Hampshire region, and Sarah Potomak is in the Calgary region. Unsurprisingly, the Minnesota region leads the way with seven Gopher alums in Hannah Brandt, Dani Cameranesi, Kelly Pannek, Nicole Schammel, Sydney Scobee, Lee Stecklein, and Noora Raty.
The PWHPA recently announced the Secret Dream Gap Tour, including a series of six Showcase events across North America this season in which the players will compete for cash prizes and the Secret Cup, following Secret Deodorant's one million dollar commitment to the PWHPA.
