Minnesota Ranked No. 25 in AP Poll

Undefeated Gophers enter AP poll, host Michigan on Oct. 24
The University of Minnesota football team is ranked No. 25 in the AP poll, which was released today.
Minnesota was originally ranked No. 19 in the preseason poll on Aug. 24, but then was not included in the rankings moving forward as AP voters only included teams that were scheduled to play this season. Now that the Big Ten has reversed its Aug. 11 season postponement announcement and will play games starting on Oct. 24, AP voters are now able to include Big Ten teams.
Minnesota started the 2019 season unranked but ended the year at No. 10 after posting an 11-2 record, which included wins against No. 5 Penn State and No. 9 Auburn.
The Gophers open the season on Oct. 24 at home against No. 20 Michigan.
