Lu Earns Second-Straight B1G Weekly Award

Ivy Lu was named the Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week for the second week in a row, after her stellar performance this past weekend against Iowa. This is ninth time Lu has won Big Ten Specialist of the Week in her career.
The senior posted the highest score of the meet on beam with a 9.925 to take first place. She also earned another podium finish on the uneven bars, tying for first with Ona Loper, with a score of 9.875. The first place finish on beam and bars marked Lu's first event title of the season on each event.
Lu has now earned four podium finishes on the uneven bars and three on the balance beam so far this season. The senior is ranked No. 26 in the nation on beam and No. 46 on bars.
The Montreal, Quebec native is tied for first in program history on both bars (9.975) and beam (10.000). Lu has tied the program record on bars four times.
Lu and the Gophers host No. 15 Nebraska at Maturi Pavilion this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. The meet will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
