Gophers Begin Spring Tournament Play in Melbourne

The Minnesota women's golf team returns to Florida this week to kick off spring tournament play, taking part in the Moon Golf Invitational hosted by the University of Louisville.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament begins Monday morning with an 8:00 a.m. ET shotgun start at the 6,262-yard, par-72 Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Fla.
Minnesota's lineup will consist of juniors Kate Lillie and Grace Kellar along with freshmen Annabelle Ackroyd, Emma Carpenter and Grace Curran. Last season, the Gophers finished tied for 12th at the tournament, as Kellar and Lillie finished tied for 47th and 73rd, respectively.
Joining the host Cardinals and the Gophers in the field are Alabama, Augusta, Campbell, Coastal Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Furman, Kansas, Kennesaw State, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Old Dominion, Seminole State, and UCF.
