Katie Duong, U20 Women's National Team Finish Perfect Group Stage

Gophers rising sophomore Katie Duong and her teammates on the U-20 Women's National Team have finished the group stage of the 2020 CONCACAF U-20 Championship with a perfect 3-0 record.
Duong has appeared in all three games for the American squad with starts in the first and third matches. In the team's final game against Honduras, Duong notched a goal as well as a pair of assists en route the 11-0 victory.
The American team now advances to the knockout stage where the top-three finishers will earn qualifications to the 2020 World Cup hosted by Costa Rica and Panama.
One of only two Big Ten players on the team, Duong is representing the Gophers on the national stage after a season where she was a key cog in the team's midfield and earned the final Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor.
