Halle Remlinger had a statement freshman season, competing in all nine meets. The Winona, Minn. native competed on vault and floor for the Gophers, notching a career-high of 9.900 on floor and 9.800 on vault.
Gopher Sports: Why did you decide to come to Minnesota?
Halle Remlinger: I decided to come to Minnesota because when I visited it felt like home. The coaches and girls were so welcoming, and I knew that it would be the best fit for me.
GS: What has it been like competing with Lexy Ramler again?
HR: It has been so much fun being on the same team as Lexy again. I loved training with Lex and looked up to her so much in club. It's really special to be able to be together again.
GS: What has been your favorite memory so far from being on this team?
HR: Traveling and getting to spend time with the girls on the team.
GS: Favorite study/hangout spot on campus?
HR: Any cute coffee shop.
GS: How has it been adjusting to college life?
HR: The first couple of weeks were challenging, figuring out how to manage everything. All of my teammates have been extremely helpful and have made the transition to college life a lot more smooth.
GS: Have any of your older teammates given you advice on being a student-athlete? If so, what did they say?
HR: Yes. Many of my teammates have told me to take advantage of all the opportunities because the next four years fly by.
GS: What are you most looking forward to this season?
HR: I am looking forward to traveling and competing with my teammates.
GS: How have you been able to balance both academics and athletics? Do you use any on campus resources?
HR: I have been able to balance both academics and athletics pretty well. There are so many
amazing resources that the U has to offer and that has definitely made it a lot easier to manage
everything in my busy schedule. I use Athletes Village, and all of it's amazing resources, every single day.
GS: How have you improved as a gymnast since coming to the U?
HR: I definitely feel like I have gained a lot more confidence in my gymnastics since coming to the U. Having the support of all my teammates has really helped me in the gym.
GS: What is your favorite event to perform and why?
HR: My favorite event to perform is floor because you get to show your routine off.

Favorite food? Tacos
Who is your role model? Mom and Dad
