MINNEAPOLIS – A total of eight University of Minnesota student-athletes earned positions on the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large teams on Thursday as Lindsey Kozelsky (Women's Swimming & Diving), Lindsay Eliasen (Rowing), Ivy Lu (Women's Gymnastics), Emily Brown (Women's Hockey), Duncan Lester (Men's Swimming & Diving), Jeremy Moser (Men's Swimming & Diving), Stefan Milicevic (Men's Tennis) and Colton Dee (Men's Gymnastics) represented the Maroon & Gold.

All eight Gophers are now eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large honors, announced in June.

Kozelsky closed out her Minnesota career as one of the more decorated Gopher swimmers in recent memory, adding 2020 CSCAA All-America status in the 100 breaststroke and 200 breast to her total of 11 All-American accolades from her first three seasons in Maroon & Gold. For her final encore in 2019-20, Kozelsky swam her way to podium finishes in both the 100 breast (third) and 200 breast (seventh) at the Big Ten Championships with her top time in the 100 breast ranking as the nation's fifth-fastest time of the season. On two separate occasions during her senior campaign, Kozelsky was named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week, bringing her career total to five weekly Big Ten accolades. From 2017-19, Kozelsky performed remarkably well at the NCAA Championships, finishing fourth or better in the 100 breast three-consecutive years. Kozelsky also held her own in the 200 breast at the NCAA meet, delivering back-to-back top-10 finishes in the event on the national landscape in both 2018 and 2019. Dating back to her freshman season, Kozelsky even swam on Minnesota's 2017 Big Ten Champion 200 medley relay team. The Albert Lea, Minn., native departs the 'U' as the all-time program record holder in the 100 breast and 400 medley relay. Having already earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education in 2019, Kozelsky graduated this past spring with her master's degree in teaching.

Eliasen is no stranger to academic excellence as the Chanhassen, Minn., native was a 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large honoree, a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and named Academic All-Big Ten. Eliasen is in her second year on the varsity team, where she has sat in the 1V8. As a sophomore, Eliasen earned a Silver Medal at the Big Ten Championships with the Novice 8. She holds a 3.974 grade point average while majoring in computer engineering.

Lu closed out her shortened senior season by becoming the third Minnesota gymnast to earn the prestigious Big Ten Medal of Honor while she also earned All-Big Ten First Team and Academic All-Big Ten for the third-straight season. In her four years at Minnesota, Lu has won 19 event titles, is a nine-time Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week and won the first Big Ten Bars title since 2002 in 2018 with a 9.950. In 2018, Lu became only the second Gopher to score a perfect 10 on beam. The Montreal, Quebec native also owns the program record on the uneven bars with a 9.975, which she has tied four times. Lu graduated in three years, double majoring in Political Science and Asian Language and Literature. The senior has been named a WCGA Scholastic All-American the past three seasons. She recently earned her Master's in sport management this spring. The senior holds a cumulative GPA of 3.737.

Brown, a native of Blaine, Minn., has earned her first CoSIDA Academic All-District nod of her career and is now eligible for Academic All-America honors. A 2019-20 All-WCHA Second Team selection, Brown helped the Gopher women's hockey team to a 27-6-3 overall record and an NCAA Tournament berth before the season ended on March 12, 2020, when the NCAA announced it was ceasing competitions and championships because of COVID-19 public health concerns. Brown wrapped up her junior season with 20 points (five goals, 15 assists) as one of 15 Gophers to play in all 36 games for the Maroon & Gold. She ranked second among WCHA defense and tied for fourth on the team with a plus-32 plus/minus rating while serving as an assistant captain. Along with her CoSIDA Academic All-District honors, Brown, a mechanical engineering major, is a two-time AHCA All-American Scholar, WCHA Scholar-Athlete, and WCHA All-Academic honoree.

Lester took his performance in the diving well to another level in 2019-20, earning a bid to the 2020 NCAA Championships for the first time in his Gopher career. As a result of qualifying for NCAAs in the one-meter springboard, Lester was named a CSCAA All-American in the event and earned both the Hardest Worker and Most Improved awards at the team's end-of-season awards banquet. Along with his excellent 2019-20 season came a 13th place finish in the one-meter at the Big Ten Championships, marking an improvement of 21 spots from Lester's performance in the event as a freshman two years prior. As a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, the Boulder, Colo., native is pursuing a degree in journalism.

While serving as the team diving captain in his senior 2019-20 season, Moser placed 12th on the platform and 16th in the three-meter at the Big Ten Championships. This wrapped up a successful four-year career for Moser, who qualified for finals at Big Tens in at least one event in each of the last three seasons. Along the way, Moser also earned bids to the 2019 NCAA Championships in both the three-meter and platform. In addition to his accomplishments in the pool, Moser is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and served two years on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Executive Board. A native of Milwaukee, Wis., Moser graduated this past spring with a bachelor's degree in supply chain and operations management.

Milicevic capped off his four year tenure with the Gophers with an impressive 81 career singles victories, paired with a total of 41 career doubles wins. Along with being a two-time First Team All-Big Ten honoree, he also was able to secure a Big Ten Athlete of the Week Award for the men's tennis team for the first time since 2017 following back-to-back ranked singles victories against UC Santa Barbara's Joseph Guillin (ranked No. 8 in the nation) and Pepperdine's Corrado Summaria (ranked No. 69 in the nation) this season. A former ITA Central Regional Singles champion, Milicevic had also received Academic All-Big Ten honors coming into his final season with the Maroon & Gold. During the 2019 fall season, Milicevic qualified for both the ITA All-American and ITA Fall Nationals tournaments for the second time of his career. A native of Belgrade, Serbia, he finished the fall season earning the best singles ranking of his career of No. 33 in the nation by the ITA.

Dee had a breakout season for the Gophers, consistently appearing in four event lineups as a junior versus two as a sophomore. He earned five top-three finishes, including one event title, and new career highs on rings (14.050), vault (14.500) and parallel bars (13.450). Colton finished the season ranked No. 15 in the country on rings and No. 23 on vault. A biology major from Nampa, Idaho, Dee was named Academic All-Big Ten for the second time in his career last week, and also received a Top Five award at the Golden Goldys, given for the top grade point averages among all male student-athletes.
