Five Gophers Invited to USA Hockey Women’s National Festival

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Five members of the University of Minnesota women's hockey program have been invited to participate in the 2026 USA Hockey Women's National Festival, USA Hockey announced Monday.
Bella Fanale, Layla Hemp, Molly Jordan, Madison Kaiser and Ava Lindsay will take part in the festival, which is scheduled for Aug. 2-9 in Lake Placid, N.Y.
At the conclusion of the festival, a 25-player roster will be selected for the U.S. Collegiate Women's Select Team. The team will then face Canada in a three-game series from Aug. 12-15 at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Richmond, British Columbia.
Gopher women's hockey head coach Greg "Boom" May will also represent Minnesota at the event, serving as an assistant coach for the U.S. Under-18 Women's Select Team. The Under-18 team will also compete against Canada in a three-game series in Richmond. Assistant coach Marty Sertich will be serving as a bench coach during the festival as well.
