Kristen Hayden and Manny Pollard Discuss Social Injustice with USA Diving

6/29/2020 12:15:00 AM | Women's Swimming & Diving

In our fight against systemic racism, one of our strongest tools continues to be the ability to discuss and learn. Listening, empathizing and learning have never been more important to creating an essential dialogue towards change.

Recently, in a discussion with USA Diving, current and former Minnesota divers Kristen Hayden and Manny Pollard sat down with Steele Johnson to discuss racism in the sport of diving, and more importantly, tools on how to recognize and combat racism when it arises. Listen as the duo discuss their personal experiences dealing with racism and how we as a collective group can help create this change we so desperately need to see.

Hayden and Pollard both serve on the diversity council for USA Diving as well.
