The University of Minnesota women's tennis team is excited to announce that Zeyneb Sarioglan (Istanbul, Turkey) will join the Gophers for the 2020-21 season.

Sarioglan attended Okyanus College and graduated this past spring. From the time she was 12, she has represented Turkey multiple times on the international stage. Most notably, she has finished 3rd, 4th and 8th at the European Team Championships, was ranked No. 24 in Europe at 14 and held an ITF Juniors ranking this past year at No. 351. Additionally, Sarioglan represented Turkey nine times at the European Winter and Summer Cups, the European Youth Festival and the European Individual Championships.

"We are pleased to announce the addition of Zeyneb Sarioglan to our women's tennis program," said head coach Catrina Thompson. "I am looking forward to watching her develop as a collegiate player and working closely with her this coming season. She will be a great addition to the Gophers."
