Trio of Gopher Alums Set to Play in U.S. Women’s Pro Indoor Volleyball League

Former Golden Gophers Erica Handley, Molly Lohman and Paige Tapp will be three of 40 players set to compete in the only women's pro indoor volleyball league in the United States, Feb. 26-April 24, 2021, in Nashville, Tenn.
Athletes Unlimited Volleyball is officially sanctioned by USA Volleyball and will feature 40 of the world's best players including members of the U.S. National Team, accomplished professional players and recent NCAA graduates during its 30-game season.
Handley, Lohman and Tapp all have previous international volleyball experience. Handley, who completed her fourth year of international volleyball, with her latest stint in the Czech Republic. Lohman completed her second year of international volleyball, most recently in Hungary, while Tapp is returning to professional volleyball after taking a year off from play. She most recently played in Germany and as a part of USA Volleyball.
All three were a part of Minnesota's back-to-back NCAA Final Four teams. Tapp and Handley graduated in December of 2016, while Lohman completed her collegiate career in 2017.
