Gopher Baseball to Host 2020 Fall Golf Outing on Sept. 26

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota baseball program announced Thursday the plans for their 2020 fall golf outing, scheduled to take place at The Royal Golf Club on Sept. 26 at 11:00 a.m.
Registration for the event can be found at the top of this page and is open to all alumni, fans and general members of the public who wish to support the Gopher Baseball program. Cost of attendance is $65 per participant and includes 18 holes of golf, access to the driving range and various prizes. Due to COVID-19 and the challenges that come with serving a full meal, there will not be a formal lunch or dinner this year, although players may purchase food and drink on-site.
For the second consecutive year, the golf outing will be a two-man scramble with winners in multiple age divisions. There will also be numerous prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive and longest putt. Additionally, the driving range will be open for all participants beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Age flight breaks will be determined according to the distribution of registered players with the aim to have relatively even groups. Age will be determined according to the average age of the two players composing each team.
Upon registering using the above link, participants should also email the names of their two-person group to pitching coach Ty McDevitt at mcde0157@umn.edu. For more information, follow the link at the top of the page or email McDevitt.
