McCauley Places Second at Notah Begay III Jr Golf National Championship

University of Minnesota women's golf signee Isabella McCauley (70-70-67--207) was the runner-up in the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship on Monday at Koasati Pines at Coushatta Resort in Kinder, La. The three-day tournament for players 14-18 years old concluded on Monday.
The future Gopher finished second at 9-under par, one stroke behind champion Suzie Tran of Poulsbo, Washington. McCauley's final round included an eagle, four birdies and one bogey. She had a six-stroke lead over the third place finisher.
McCauley qualified for the event by winning the Minnesota Regional with a two-day total of 3-under 141 at the Meadows at Mystic Lake in late August.
