Offensive lineman has started 30 career games

University of Minnesota offensive lineman Daniel Faalele recently accepted an invitation to participate in the Senior Bowl. The annual event will be held on Feb. 5, 2022, and will be broadcast on the NFL Network.

Faalele is a 6-9, 380-pound offensive lineman from Melbourne, Australia. He started 30 of the 33 games he played in and was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2019 and 2018. He did not compete on the field in 2020, but was named Academic All-Big Ten that year.  Faalele is the 44th Gopher to be invited to the Senior Bowl and this is the third straight year that Minnesota will have at least one individual in the premier annual event.

Benjamin St-Juste played in the game last year and was then drafted by the Washington Football Team in the third round. Carter Coughlin competed in the Senior Bowl two years ago before being drafted by the New York Giants. That same year, Kamal Martin was invited to the Senior Bowl but did not participate in the game because of injuries. Martin was later drafted by the Green Bay Packers and is now a member of the Carolina Panthers.
