Minnesota to Host Open Practice, Autograph Session for Fans on Thursday, August 20

The practice will start at 5:30 p.m. and is scheduled to be at Huntington Bank Stadium
The University of Minnesota football team will host an open practice for fans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 20 at Huntington Bank Stadium.
Free Admission
The open practice is free to attend. Minnesota will enforce its bag policy and security screening for fans attending the practice
Gate E
Fans can enter the stadium starting at 5:00 p.m. through Gate E and seating will be on the south side of the stadium.
Autograph Session
At the conclusion of practice, Minnesota's 10 captains – Maverick Baranowski, Ashton Beers, Kerry Brown, Aidan Gousby, Greg Johnson, Drake Lindsey, John Nestor, Anthony Smith, Jalen Smith and Darius Taylor – will be available to sign autographs on the West Plaza for 30 minutes.
Parking
Fans are encouraged to park in one of the numerous daily pay lots near the stadium.
Concessions
Concessions will be available for purchase at Section 139 and the following items will be available: chicken tenders, burgers, hot dogs, brats, ice cream, Coke products and alcoholic beverages.
School Supply Drive
The football team will host a school supply drive in conjunction with the open practice. Fans are encouraged to bring school supplies, including backpacks, pencils (traditional and mechanical), pencil cases / pouches, pens, highlighters, markers, crayons, colored pencils, dry erase markers, erasers, glue sticks, safety scissors, notebooks, folders, three-ring binders, sticky notes, index cards, rulers, calculators, water bottles and disinfecting wipes. Minnesota will then donate these items to local schools.
Oar Collection
Fans are encouraged to bring a decorated oar to the open practice. These customized oars will be added to the inside of Huntington Bank Stadium where they adorn the tunnel that the Gophers use to get from their locker room to the field on game days. These inspirational oars are the final images that members of the team see before taking the field and connect the community with the football program.
