2025 ⢠JUNIOR SEASON:Ā Started all 13 games and led team in in tackles (103) and solo tackles (52) ⢠became the first Gopher to record at least 100 tackles in a season since Blake Cashman had 104 in 2018 ⢠added nine tackles for loss and three sacks ⢠broke up one pass and forced one fumble. Game-by-Game:Ā Totaled 10 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss against Buffalo ⢠recorded one tackle and forced one fumble against Northwestern State ⢠made seven tackles at Cal ⢠tallied six tackles and made one sack against Rutgers ⢠registered seven tackles and had half of a tackle for loss at Ohio State ⢠made 10 tackles against Purdue ⢠recorded one tackle for loss and had six tackles versus Nebraska ⢠finished with nine tackles at Iowa ⢠made seven tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and one sack against Michigan State ⢠had seven tackles at Oregon ⢠totaled eight tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss at Northwestern ⢠broke up one pass and made seven tackles against Wisconsin ⢠had one sack and a career high 17 tackles against New Mexico in the Rate Bowl (second most tackles ever by a Gopher in a bowl game, as Tyrone Carter had 18 tackles against Oregon in the 1999 Sun Bowl).Ā
2024 ⢠SOPHOMORE SEASON:Ā Played in eleven games and finished second on the team with 65 tackles ⢠made five tackles for loss, had one sack, broke up two passes and recovered one fumble. Game-by-Game: Made 10 tackles and hadĀ one tackle for loss against North Carolina ⢠tallied one tackle against Rhode Island ⢠notched six tackles and had half of a sack against Nevada ⢠made 10 tackles and had one tackle for loss against Iowa ⢠had nine tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass breakup at Michigan ⢠missed the USC and UCLA games win an injuryĀ ā¢Ā had three tackles and half a tackle for loss against Maryland ⢠made three tackles and recovered one fumble at Illinois ⢠had six tackles and half of a tackle for loss at Rutgers ⢠broke up one pass and made eight tackles against Penn State ⢠totaled three tackles at Wisconsin ⢠had six tackles and half of a sack against Virginia Tech.Ā
2023Ā ā¢Ā FRESHMAN SEASON:Ā Played in 10 games and ranked fourth on the team with 52.0 tackles ⢠recorded five tackles for loss, one sack and broke up two passes.Ā Game-by-Game: Made his first career start against Nebraska and had seven tackles, half a tackle for loss and broke up one pass ⢠tied for team lead with seven tackles against Eastern Michigan and also had one sack ⢠notched 10 tackles at North Carolina ⢠registered four tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and one pass break up at Northwestern ⢠tied for the team lead with seven tackles against Louisiana ⢠made seven tackles and one tackle for loss against Michigan ⢠had six tackles and one tackle for loss at Iowa ⢠totaled two tackles against Michigan State ⢠started against Illinois ⢠made two tackles at Purdue before leaving the game with an injury ⢠missed the final three games of the season with an injury.Ā Ā
2022: Redshirted ⢠competed in four games, seeing most of his action on special teams ⢠made one tackle. Game-by-Game: Made his Minnesota debut on special teams at Illinois ⢠competed at Nebraska ⢠saw action against Iowa ⢠made one tackle on special teams against Syracuse.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, Fla. ⢠wore No. 5 for the Hawks ⢠as a senior, helped lead team to an 8-1 record and a district title ⢠made 100 tackles (51 solo) with 10 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks, one pass breakup and one defensive touchdown ⢠as a junior, carded 123 tackles, 7.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries and two defensive touchdowns ⢠coached by Andy Price ⢠also played volleyball and basketball ā¢Ā three-star recruit.
PERSONAL: Son of Frank and Lisa Baranowski ⢠has one sibling (Travis) ⢠mother, Lisa, played college volleyball at UCF from 1989-92 and was an outside hitter ⢠grandfather, Theodore Baranowski, played college football at Purdue and was a member of the offensive line.
