Heise Awarded HCA National Player of the Month

Senior forward Taylor Heise caps off an incredible month of November with her first career national honor.

MINNEAPOLIS – Senior forward Taylor Heise has been named November's National Player of the Month by the Hockey Commissioner's Association. This marks the second November monthly honor that Heise has earned after being named WCHA Forward of the Month on Tuesday.

Taylor Heise had an outstanding month, tallying 16 points (8g-8a) in 6 games. She recorded a multi-point game in five of six contests in the month. The Gophers' top-line center and assistant captain ranks third in the nation and first on the team with 30 points (13g-17a) over 16 games. The Lake City, Minn. native had a November to remember with her second career hat-trick, 50th career goal, a team-best plus-16 rating, and a career high seven-point series. Heise leads the Maroon and Gold in points, goals, assists, shots, short-handed goals, and plus/minus rating. She becomes the first Gopher to earn the honor. 

No. 5/5 Minnesota (12-4-0) travels to LaBahn Arena to battle the top-ranked Badgers (15-0-1) on Friday at 7:00 pm CST and on Saturday at 3:00 pm CST.
