12/30/2021 2:20:00 PM | Men's Hockey

Proceeds from the exhibition game will benefit the Hendrickson Foundation.

MINNEAPOLIS – Doug Woog Arena will be at full capacity on Sunday afternoon as the South St. Paul venue is officially sold out for Minnesota's exhibition game against St. Thomas on Sunday, Jan. 2 at 2:00 p.m. CT.

Additionally, the two programs have announced that proceeds from the exhibition game will benefit the Hendrickson Foundation, which operates with a mission to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities, and their families, through the game of hockey.

The exhibition contest will stand as the first meeting between the two Twin Cities programs. Of Minnesota's six Division I men's team, the University of Minnesota stands as the state's original program with the 2021-22 season marking the Gophers' 101st campaign while the University of St. Thomas sits on the other end of the spectrum with the Tommies competing in their inaugural Division I season this year as the newest program in Division I men's hockey.

Doors will open for the contest one hour before game time on Sunday and all seats are general admission. Parking and shuttle information can be found here. While Doug Woog Arena does not have any mask requirements, masks or face coverings are recommended regardless of vaccination status.

Tickets are still available for the remainder of the 2021-22 Gopher Hockey schedule including Monday's exhibition game against the U.S. Under-18 Team at 3M Arena at Mariucci. Click here for ticket information.
