Curran Receives Sportsmanship Award

Sophomore led Minnesota with a stroke average of 74.27
Sophomore Grace Curran was named Minnesota's recipient of the 2021 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award today. Curran is one of 14 golfers in the conference to receive the award.
Curran led the Gophers in the recently completed Big Ten Tournament where she tied for 24th after shooting a six-over 222 (76-72-74). Curran led Minnesota this season with a 74.27 average round and she also posted strong performances at the Heroes Ladies Intercollegiate (74-74-71--219), and the Florida State Match Up (76-72-73--221).
Curran averaged a 76.2 in 2019, which was good for fourth on the team. She carded two 71s in her freshman year, one of which came at The Gold Rush in California. Curran's plus-five 221 (71-77-73) at the tournament earned her a tie for 10th place.
Curran competed at the varsity level in high school at Lincoln-Way Central in Illinois and won the Illinois state tournament her sophomore year.
