Two Gophers Finish in Top-10 at Indiana Spring Challenge

Two Minnesota women's golfers in Annabelle Ackroyd and Joanne Free were among the top-10 as the Indiana Spring Challenge at the Covered Bridge Golf Club concluded Monday afternoon. As a team, the Gophers placed third overall in the event (293-300-293--886).
Notable
Sophomore Annabelle Ackroyd set a career-best tournament score of 219 (69-74-76--219), which was previously 220 set last season at The Gold Rush. Ackroyd also set a career-best tournament score to par at +3 and tied her career-best finish as she came in a two-way tie for seventh place.
Joining Ackroyd in the top-10 was senior Joanne Free (76-74-72--222) who tied for ninth overall and set a career-best finish. Free had a strong close to the tournament, shooting par in the third round.
Sophomore Emma Carpenter (76-76-72--224) was 14th overall after also shooting par in the third round. Grace Curran (75-76-74--225) and Grace Kellar (73-77-75--225) finished tied for 15th.

It was great to see Annabelle and Joanne have three solid rounds and an overall team result. I'm really excited for our next event. This team is continuing to buy into the process!
