MINNEAPOLIS - CSCAA Diver of the Year Sarah Bacon claimed her first top-two finish of the 2021 U.S. Olympic Diving Team Trials Thursday night, as she and her synchro partner Kassidy Cook finished second in the synchronized springboard.

The duo kept themselves close to the top spot throughout every round of the competition, increasing their per-dive score with every dive they threw and topping off the event with a massive 72.90 on the final dive of the round. They finished the event with a 15-dive score of 871.50.

As Bacon has also qualified to compete in the individual springboard final, she will have another shot at punching her ticket to represent her country in Tokyo later this summer. That final will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. CT, and will be broadcast nationally on NBC.
