Baldridge sets school punting record
In a 13-12 win over Utah at Memorial Stadium, Minnesota punter Dave Baldridge booted one 88 yards to set a new school record for longest punt. "Baldy", who also pitched for the University of Minnesota baseball team, averaged 40.2 yards in 65 punts during the season. The Gophers would go on to win the 1967 Big Ten Championship with co-champions Indiana and Purdue.
