Gophers Set for Intrasquad Showing

The University of Minnesota women's gymnastics team will kick off the new year with their annual intrasquad meet on Friday, Jan. 7 at 12:00 p.m.
Admission is free to the public and gates will open 90 minutes before competition begins. The event will also be streamed live on B1G+.
The Gophers will begin on vault, move to a bars and beam rotation and finish on floor with anywhere between seven to eleven gymnasts competing on each event. The top five scores from each event will be combined for one final team score.
Minnesota enters the season ranked No. 9 in the WCGA Preseason Poll and No. 2 in the Big Ten Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. Ona Loper and Lexy Ramler were each selected to the Big Ten Women's Gymnasts to Watch List for the fourth time in their careers.
Regular season competition officially opens up on Jan. 17 as the Gophers host UCLA at Maturi Pavilion beginning at 12:00 p.m. CT.
