Vetter Earns Fourth Goaltender of the Week Honor

Skylar Vetter has been named WCHA Goaltender of the Week after making 38 total saves in a series sweep.

MINNEAPOLIS – Sophomore goaltender Skylar Vetter has been named WCHA Goaltender of the Week by the conference on Monday.  Since the awards' inception in 2018, Vetter is the only Gopher to win four WCHA Goaltender of the Week honors in a single season.

Skylar Vetter earned the fifth WCHA weekly honor of her career and fourth this season after stopping 38-of-39 shots this weekend in a series sweep over Minnesota State. Vetter made 24 saves on Friday before notching her second shutout of the season with 14 saves on Saturday. Both of the sophomore's shutouts have been against the Mavericks in Mankato this weekend. 

No. 6 Minnesota (12-3-2) is set to face No. 14 St. Cloud State (11-8-0) in a home-and-home series this weekend (Dec. 9-10).
