MINNEAPOLIS -- Jalen Pickett led all players with 20 points as Penn State (11-12, 6-9 Big Ten) took down the Gophers 67-46 at the Bryce Jordan Center Thursday afternoon to capture their second straight conference win.
Minnesota (12-12, 3-12 B1G) was led by forward Jamison Battle in the scorers column, who posted 16 points in the contest while shooting 3-8 from deep. Sean Sutherlin led the team on the boards, bringing in seven off the bench and finishing with five points.
The two teams faced off for the second time in only five days, after Minnesota topped the Nittany Lions in Minneapolis last Saturday, Feb. 12, 76-70. The former of the two matchups was originally scheduled for Jan. 19, before the game was ultimately postponed due to internal COVID-19 protocols in the Gophers program.
