Junior shortstop Drew Stahl led the 'U' at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and a walk. Senior left fielder Andrew Wilhite went 2-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and a walk to help pace the offensive attack.

The Minnesota offense jumped out to a quick start in the first inning, getting consecutive doubles to left center from Brett Bateman and Andrew Wilhite to take an early 1-0 lead. FAU would even up the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the second with a two-out, RBI single.
The Gophers would respond immediately in the top of the third as senior catcher Chase Stanke unloaded on a fastball that easily cleared the left field fence for the first home run of the year for the 'U'. Minnesota tacked on three more runs in the inning after getting RBI singles from Jack Kelly and Drew Stahl and a sacrifice fly from Easton Bertrand.
