Noteable
Minnesota dominated on the floor with a 49.550, which is tied for the fifth best score in school history. The 49.550 also tied for Minnesota's top floor score ever away from home. The Gophers also tallied a 49.550 at Ohio State in 2018 and at Arizona State in 2004. On Saturday, the Gophers had three of the top four finishers in Hooten (first, 9.975), Ona Loper (tied for second, 9.925) and Halle Remlinger (tied for second, 9.925).

Gianna Gerdes recorded a career high on the beam with a 9.850, besting her previous mark of a 9.750 set earlier this year at Maryland.

Quotable
"We started out great on the floor, and I am really proud of the way we started there," said head coach Jenny Hansen. "We just were not quite on tonight to be honest. Our vault was a little bit off and our bars were ok, but we were not as sharp as we normally are. On beam, we definitely had some highlights, but had some uncharacteristic mistakes from some of our leaders. Everyone is able to make mistakes sometimes, but unfortunately we had two in the same night. It was disappointing because we knew we certainly could have won this meet. We need to go back and figure out what we need to do for next time."

All-Around
Ramler and Ona Loper were the only two Gophers to compete in the all-around. Loper won the all-around in Minnesota's last two meets, but this time it was Ramler who took home top honors with a 39.575. Ramler tied for first on the beam with a 9.950 and tied for second on both vault and bars with a 9.875 in both events. Her third 9.875 of the night – this time on floor – tied her for tenth on the apparatus. Loper finished at 38.175.

Event Breakdown
Floor
Minnesota started on the floor after having a bye for the first rotation. The Gophers got to work quickly, as they posted a 49.550 in their first rotation. That was Minnesota's third-best floor routine this year and tied for its fifth-best floor score ever. Minnesota was once again led by the dynamic Hooten. The sophomore, who has one perfect 10 on floor already this year, scored a 9.975 to win the event. She was followed by Loper and Remlinger who both recorded a 9.925 to tie for second. Ramler notched a 9.875 for the Gophers, while Gerdes tallied a 9.850 and Emily Koch registered a 9.800.
