Motzko was named a finalist for Big Ten Coach of the Year on Wednesday.
MINNEAPOLIS -- Big Ten Coach of the Year finalist Bob Motzko joined a special edition of the FOX 9 Gophers Coaches Show this week to preview Saturday's Big Ten tournament semifinal matchup against Penn State at 3M Arena at Mariucci. On Wednesday, Motzko was named a finalist for the Big Ten Coach of the Year Award for the fourth time in his four seasons at the University of Minnesota (he won the accolade in 2020 for his fifth career conference coaching honor). The Gophers coach led Minnesota to the 2021-22 Big Ten Regular-Season Championship while the Maroon & Gold will now begin their defense of last year's Big Ten playoff title.
