Offensive linemen turn in strong performances at showcase event
Former University of Minnesota offensive lineman Blaise Andries and Daniel Faalele were in action today at the annual NFL Combine.
Faalele did only the bench press, while Andries did everything except the bench press on a day when the big fellas displayed their athleticism at the annual showcase event.
Faalele was a top performer with 24 reps on the 225-pound bench press, while Andries announced he would bench at Minnesota's local pro day on March 16.
Andries was a top performer among the offensive lineman in the 40-yard dash (5.10 seconds), vertical jump (30.5 inches), three-cone drill (7.84) and the 20-yard shuttle (4.68 seconds). He also posted a broad jump of 8'10".
The NFL Combine continues tomorrow when Minnesota defensive linemen Boye Mafe and Esezi Otomewo are scheduled to participate.
