Ben Warian Tied for 12th Individually, Gophers Hold 11th Going into Final Round

FRENCH LICK, IN -- The University of Minnesota men's golf team finished day two of the Big Ten Championship shooting a combined score of 303(+15), bringing the tournament total to 601(+25). The Gophers remain in 11th place heading into the final round.
After four teams shot below par yesterday, today's second round didn't see any teams finish at or below par – the top scoring team being Maryland at +3.
Sophomore Ben Warian continued to pave the way for Minnesota today shooting a 74(+2), leaving him in a tie for 12th(+2) going into the final round. Warian started his second round with two bogies in his first five holes, but recovered well as he shot even par to finish up round two.
Antoine Sale shot a 75(+3) in his second round – Sale's four birdies were the most on the day for Minnesota. Just behind Sale in today's round was freshman Bennett Swavely, who shot a 76(+4) in the second round.
Senior Lincoln Johnson was even at the turn in his second round, and finished with a 78 (+6). Freshman Eduardo Galdos struggled today with an 85(+13) in his second round.
