The nation's premier conference tournament will return to Minneapolis for the eighth and ninth consecutive season.

The Golden Gopher women's hockey program and the WCHA are excited to announce that the 2023 and 2024 WCHA Final Faceoff championship tournaments are set to remain at the University of Minnesota and Ridder Arena.

Annually the premier conference tournament in women's college hockey, the WCHA Final Faceoff weekend has evolved into a celebration of the sport's past, present, and future by featuring the nation's top programs and players. The 2023 event, scheduled for March 3-4 at Ridder Arena, welcomes women's hockey fans back to its central location, in addition to continuing to provide top-notch accommodations for WCHA teams.

The country's first-ever facility built specifically for women's hockey has been a 15-time host of WCHA Championships (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022) and the home for the Final Faceoff for the past seven seasons. The Gophers have won seven WCHA Tournament titles in program history with four of them coming on home ice (2004, 2005, 2013, 2018). Following the 2023 and 2024 conference tournaments, Ridder Arena is slated to host the 2025 NCAA Women's Frozen Four.
