CSCAA Recognizes 25 Gophers with Scholar All-America Honors

MINNEAPOLIS - The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its 2022 Scholar All-America teams Wednesday with 25 Gophers earning their way to first-team, second-team or honorable mention honors. Sixteen women represented Minnesota, while nine did so for the men.
Seven Gopher women -- Sarah Bacon, Grace Bennin, Olivia Bloomer, Emma Lezer, Jordan McGinty, Maggie Summit and Joy Zhu -- earned first-team honors, and the man had two: Chris Nagy and Bar Soloveychik. To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes had to have earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 and participated in their national championship.
Second Team honors were awarded to student-athletes who maintained a 3.50 GPA while also achieving an NCAA 'B' cut, or competed at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships.
