Gophers Announce 2022 Fall Schedule

Minnesota will play multiple exhibitions at Siebert Field
MINNEAPOLIS – University of Minnesota head coach John Anderson has announced the Gophers 2022 fall schedule. Fans will be able to see the Gophers compete in multiple intrasquad scrimmages, a pair of exhibitions against local opponents and a Pro Alumni Game.
The Gophers will be back once again as a team for the first day of practice on Tuesday, Sept. 6. That second weekend of September on the 9th and 10th, Minnesota will get back into the flow of things by playing intrasqaud (steak & beans) scrimmages on back-to-back days. Fans are welcome to come see the Gophers compete during those days.
Minnesota will take on its first opponent of the fall when Concordia St. Paul travels across town to take on the Gophers on Friday, Sept. 16. Start time will be 6:30 p.m.
Fall 2022 will continue the following weekend with the Pro Alumni Game on Friday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m. Last year's game was canceled and the 2020 game wasn't played due to COVID. On Saturday there will be a golf outing starting at 1 p.m. at The Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo. The outing will be a two-man scramble with winners in multiple age divisions will have prizes for closest to the pin, long drive, and longest putt. This event is open to all Gopher Baseball alumni, fans and supporters!
The 'U' will play one more exhibition match against an opponent when Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) comes to town on Friday, Sept. 30 for a 6:30 p.m. scrimmage at Siebert Field.
Coach Anderson and company will complete their fall slate with two more steak & beans intrasquad scrimmages on Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8.
Minnesota went 16-36 (6-18 Big Ten) in 2022.
