Maroon and Gold Set to Compete in the Lady Paladin Invitational

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota women's golf team will begin their second tournament of the year at the Lady Paladin Invitational in Greensville, S.C. The event runs from Sept. 23 – Sept. 25.
 
The Lady Paladin Invitational consists of 54 holes across three days. Round one and two will begin at 8 a.m. CST on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The third and final round on Sunday will open with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. CST.

Lineup:
Minnesota's lineup will consist of freshman Isabella McCauley, senior Emma Carpenter, senior Grace Curran, senior Leah Herzog, and freshman Luisamariana Mesones.

The Field:
Outside of the Gophers, the event includes 17 other teams: Furman, Augusta, Coastal Carolina, Daytona State, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia State, James Madison, Memphis, North Florida, Old Dominion, Richmond, South Florida, Stetson, Tulane, UNCW, and Western Kentucky.

The Course:
The Furman University Golf Club is the home of the 2022 Lady Paladin Invitational. The course underwent major renovations in 2008 in order to meet USGA standards. It is now regarded as one of the top golf courses located on a college campus in the United States.
 
Looking Ahead:
After the Lady Paladin Invitational, the Gophers will compete in the Princess Anne Invitational which will take place in Virginia Beach, Va. on Sept. 30 - Oct. 2.
