Gophers Set to Begin the Evie Odom Invitational

MINNEAPOLIS – The Gopher women's golf team is set to start the Evie Odom Invitational tomorrow. The tournament originally planned for Sept. 30 – Oct. 2 will now be held from Sept. 29 – Sept. 30 due to severe weather in the forecast.
The Evie Odom Invitational begins with a shotgun start at 12:30 CST on Sept. 29 and continues with a second round the following day. There is the potential for a third round following round two if weather permits.

Lineup:
Minnesota's lineup is comprised of freshman Luisamariana Mesones, senior Grace Curran, freshman Isabella McCauley, senior Emma Carpenter, and senior Leah Herzog.
The Field:
Joining the Gophers for the event are Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, East Carolina, High Point, Indiana, James Madison, Middle Tennessee State, North Florida, Old Dominion, Penn State, Princeton, Sacramento State, and South Florida.
The Course:
The tournament will transpire at the Princess Anne Country Club. Its close proximity to Virginia Beach creates a soothing and laid-back atmosphere for a club that serves as a haven for its community. Founded by a group of Norfolk leaders and entrepreneurs, the Princess Anne is regarded as one of the finest places in Virginia.
Looking Ahead:
Following the Evie Odom Invitational, the Maroon and Gold will travel to Lawrence, Kan. for the Sunflower Invitational from Oct. 17 – Oct. 18.
