Minnesota Set for Final Fall Season Tournament at Blessings Collegiate Invitational

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota women's golf team is set to tee it off in Arkansas for the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. This is the last tournament of the fall season for Minnesota and will take place Oct. 2-4 in Fayetteville, Ar. The University of Minnesota men's golf team will be joining the lady Gophers on this trip, as this tournament features both men's and women's teams from eight different universities.
Round one will begin Monday, Oct. 2, with a 9:45 a.m. CT start. Round two is set for Oct. 3, and the final round will be on Oct. 4th.
The unique format of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational features all five athletes from each university playing in a group together. There will be awards for the top individuals, team, and the lowest combined men's and women's team.

"The Blessings event is the pinnacle of college golf. To be invited to participate is a real treat for our program" said head coach Rhyll Brinsmead. "The event will be televised on The Golf Channel all three days which will allow our fans to watch the team compete. It's a unique format where our team will play in a group. We're excited to get back on the course and compete."
Lineup:
Competing for the Gophers in Arkansas are freshman Sara Tomaszewski, sophomore Isabella McCauley, senior Hailey Loh, and graduates Grace Curran and Megan Furtney.
The Field:
The Gophers will be joined by some of the nation's top competition, playing against No. 3 Arkansas, No. 5 South Carolina, No. 9 Clemson, No. 28 Kentucky, No. 29 Mississippi State, No. 38 North Texas, NC State, and Washington.
The Course:
Play will be held at the Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ar. The par-72 course plays 6,503 yards.
Looking Ahead:
This event will conclude the team's 2023 fall season. The first Spring event is set for February 4-6 at the Puerto Rico Classic.
